Software Product Assurance Engineer - Medior

ISISPACE – Innovative Solutions In Space – specializes in small satellite missions, from design and manufacturing to launch and operations. Our satellites are used worldwide for technology demonstration, Earth observation, climate and atmospheric research, and educational missions.

To support our growing project portfolio with customers, we are expanding our Quality Department with a Software Product Assurance Engineer.

In this role you are responsible for the software quality and reliability across our missions. It is a supporting role in which you help safeguard quality across our missions. You have a proactive role: if something goes wrong, you take action to help solve the issue, guide it toward resolution, and help ensure it is prevented in the future.  You make sure that flight software, ground software and supporting tools are developed, verified and maintained according to applicable standards, internal processes and customer requirements. You work closely with software developers, system engineers, project managers and customers to implement and maintain a solid Software Product Assurance (SPA) approach within our projects. Thinking along, supporting, and taking responsibility are key parts of this role.

• BSc/MSc in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or another relevant technical field.

• 3+ years of experience in a relevant position.

• Experience with software development.

• Experience in software quality assurance and structured development processes.

• Experience with C/C++, Python, or mission-critical embedded software.

• Understanding of configuration management, software lifecycle models and verification/validation concepts and applicable standards such as:

  • ECSS-Q-ST-80C Rev.2 – Software product assurance

  • ECSS-E-HB-40A – Software engineering handbook

• High accuracy and attention to detail: You like things to be correct and complete.

• Strong analytical skills: You can distinguish main issues from side issues and get to the core of a problem.

• Natural quality mindset: You are comfortable guarding standards and challenging inconsistencies.

• Decisive and proactive: You take initiative and act when the situation requires it.
