Job description

The satellite operations team, part of the Mission Solutions & Engineering department, is responsible for operating a growing fleet of customer satellites. From our misson control centre in Delft, they focus on both the long term, routine operations, as well as more intense, unpredictable commissioning activities of newly launched satellites.

We are looking for a final year Master student to join the team initially on a parttime basis. This way you can be trained on-the-job, with the intention to be hired on a fulltime basis after graduation.

Specific tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Day-to-day satellite operations for active satellite missions of ISISPACE and its customers.
  • Supporting the commissioning of new satellites upon launch.
  • Providing inputs for continuous improvement of operational procedures and tools.

Job requirements

  • Enrolled in a Master’s education in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Aerospace Engineering or a similar discipline.
  • Ability to work independently and flexible in working times when the job requires it.
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
  • Energetic team player with a positive and open mindset.
  • Excellent and straightforward communication skills (with proficiency in English).
  • A great sense of responsibility and commitment.

Bonus point if you also bring:

  • Understanding of spacecraft avionics architecture.
  • Understanding of orbital dynamics.
  • Experience with Python.
  • Experience with satellite operational concepts and ground systems.
