Job description

In this role, you will operate satellites on behalf of ISISPACE and its customers. This includes both long term, routine operations of our growing fleet of satellites, as well as fast paced commissioning activities of newly launched satellites. To complement these activities, you will contribute to the growth of our operations infrastructure, procedures definition, software development and customer trainings in satellite operations.

 

You will work in close collaboration with software and system engineers from the ISISPACE satellite missions, and R&D teams, with a focus on satellite operations and ground segment development. Furthermore, you will be in contact with customers during all phases of satellite operations.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Day to day satellite operations for all active missions of ISISPACE and its customers

  • Commissioning of new satellites upon launch

  • Mission preparation prior to launch

  • Continuous improvement of operational procedures and tools

Job requirements

Prerequisites:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Software Engineering, Telecommunications, or a similar, relevant discipline

  • 0-5 years of working experience with satellite operations

  • Excellent and straightforward communication skills (with proficiency in English)

  • Ability to work independently and flexible in working times during LEOP

  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills

  • Energetic team player with a positive and open mindset

  • A great sense of responsibility and commitment

  • A strategic and analytical mind

 

Recommended:

  • Understanding of spacecraft avionics architecture

  • Understanding of ground segment architecture

  • Experience with satellite operational concepts and ground systems

  • Experience with version control and issue tracking systems

  • Experience with Python and/or C++

  • Experience with data analysis
