Job description

ISISPACE offers a broad portfolio of small satellite products, like platforms, communication systems and power subsystems. Our customers use these on a wide range of missions, from signal monitoring, climate monitoring, and testing new concepts in space, to agricultural mapping and deep space research.

As Sales Engineer – Products, you will combine your technical knowledge with your interpersonal skills to build relationships and help customers achieve their mission goals. You are in direct contact with customers on a daily basis, with support from your sales- and engineering colleagues. You will also participate in business events and customer visits.

This is a great opportunity to grow in responsibility from sales of our small avionics elements to complete small satellite platforms.


Specific tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate ISISPACE product sales, from lead creation, qualification and bidding to deal closing and processing.

  • Develop and broaden an expert understanding of our overall product and services portfolio.

  • Understand customer requirements and convey how our products and services can support customer needs.

  • Develop key customer accounts, maintain and build on relationships with existing customer accounts.

  • Maintain up-to-date customer and lead information in our CRM system (Pipedrive).

  • Keep track of market developments and provide feedback as input to our product development directions.

Job requirements

  • Technical background by degree and/or professional experience in a relevant engineering field.

  • Experience (3+ years) in a technical sales position, based on achieving sales targets.

  • Strong communication skills, verbal and in writing, in English (additional languages welcomed).

  • Good with planning, pro-active, accurate, able to cope with a dynamic environment and multitasking.

  • Prepared and able to represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, customer visits, etc.

  • Creative, out-of-the-box mentality to find out customer needs and match those with the relevant offering.

Bonus point if you also bring:

  • Experience with relevant sales processes, CRM systems, and customer interaction in a high-tech environment.

  • Affinity with commercial space activities and industry knowledge in the field of (small) satellite technology.

  • Experience with international travel and intercultural communication.
