Job description

Within the fast-growing nanosatellite market, ISISPACE offers a broad portfolio of miniaturised components and subsystems that are used in our own satellite missions, and sold as standalone products to customers. Our products cover a wide variety of applications, from testing new technologies or concepts in space, to atmospheric and climate monitoring, Internet of Things, ship tracking or air traffic monitoring, agricultural mapping and deep space research. As an Electronics Engineer, you’ll work in the Power Systems Product Line, primarily on spacecraft solar panels and EPS products, though you will occasionally find yourself supporting other activities within the company.


Specific tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Designing, developing, and testing space rated electronic systems.
  • Taking ownership of ISISPACE EPS and SPA products – working on product updates.
  • Working with the sales team to respond to customers; updating documentation; driving product roadmaps etc.
  • Working independently on work packages, and under direction of Line Manager / Project Manager.

Job requirements

  • Degree in Electronics or other relevant field.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in power electronics.
  • A thorough understanding of analogue electronics design and electrical power conversion.
  • Experience with low power design techniques and EMC.
  • Experience with electronic CAD software, preferably Altium.
  • Familiarity with electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters and spectrum analysers.
  • Excellent and straightforward communication skills, in English (verbal and in writing).
  • Energetic team player with a positive and open mindset

Bonus point if you also bring:

  • Experience in (power) electronics for space applications. 
  • Experience in a combined development and small series production environment.
  • Experience with Electrical interfaces and system interconnections.
  • Familiarity with power storage, and solar power generation systems [in a space environment].
