Mechanical Engineer - Senior

In a fast-growing nanosatellite market, we offer a broad portfolio of miniaturized components and subsystems, used both in our own missions and sold as standalone products. As a Mechanical Engineer in our R&D department, you develop mechanical structures for the next generation of ISISPACE spacecraft and deployers, taking ownership from requirements through design, manufacturing and qualification.

We are looking for a senior-level engineer (+7 years of experience) who can work autonomously and generate solutions to complex mechanical challenges.

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BEng, BSc or MSc) or equivalent education/practical background.

• Approx. 7 years of demonstrable experience designing complex mechanical systems to a high standard.

• Solid understanding of mechanical design techniques and engineering fundamentals.

• Proficiency with CAD tools (preferably Creo).

• Familiarity with DfM, DfT and bringing designs towards productization.

• Excellent and straightforward communication skills in English, both spoken and written.

• An open, creative mindset and the ability to work independently in a small, ambitious R&D team.

Bonus point if you also bring

• Practical experience in a development plus small-series production environment.

• Experience with structural and/or thermal analysis and related tools.

• Familiarity with ECSS standards or other space-industry norms.

• A strong interest in the wider space industry and satellite applications.
