Job description

In the fast-growing small satellite market, we are looking for a motivated Electronics Assembly Technician (IPC Soldering) at starter level to join our Manufacturing Assembly, Integration and Testing department. You will be at heart of the manufacturing activities focused on the realisation of electronics subsytems for our missions.

ISISPACE offers a career in soldering, including in-house IPC J-STD-001 training to elevate your skills to the highest industry standards.

You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams - including engineering, production and quality -to produce the subsystems and identify and resolve manufacturability issues early in and during the product lifecycle. This role is crucial for ensuring flight hardware and ground support equipment meet space-grade manufacturing, material, and reliability standards, while being cost

effective.

Key Responsibilities of the Electronics Assembly Technician

  • Perform high-precision soldering of components for space subsystems, adhering to strict quality and reliability standards.

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions to ensure accurate assembly.

  • Follow established procedures and work instructions to maintain consistency and compliance with industry standards.

  • Inspect solder joints and assemblies for defects, ensuring they meet IPC Class 3 and space- level requirements.

  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure timely completion of tasks and continuous improvement.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace in accordance with company and industry safety protocols.

Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Vocational education or equivalent experience in electronics, soldering, or a related

  • technical field.

  • Entry-level position; prior experience is a plus but not required.

Mindset and Skills

  • Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination for precise soldering tasks.

  • Eager to learn and develop new skills, with a strong commitment to quality and attention to detail.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and work instructions in English.

  • Basic understanding of PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) is beneficial.

  • Planning and organizational skills to manage tasks efficiently.

  • Ability to work in a structured and methodical manner.

  • Excellent English communication skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with soldering techniques and tools.

  • Basic knowledge of electronics and PCBA processes.

  • Willingness to undergo in-house training and certification for IPC Class 3 and space-level soldering standards.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
