General Ledger Accountant

We are looking for an accurate and structured General Ledger Accountant to strengthen our finance department. Our team works daily to realize successful projects for our customers and stakeholders. We are a dynamic and growing company in which you play an important role in ensuring reliable financial administration.

As a General Ledger Accountant, you are responsible for a correct and complete general ledger administration. You contribute to timely monthly, quarterly and annual closings and ensure that all financial transactions are processed correctly. You work closely with the Finance Manager to guarantee the financial integrity of our organization.

Your main responsibilities:

• Managing and maintaining the general ledger.

• Drafting and processing payment proposals.

• Supporting the financial administration in processing purchase- and sales invoices and payments.

• Identifying and resolving discrepancies in the financial administration.

• Drafting, processing and checking financial transactions and journal entries.

• Supporting monthly, quarterly and annual closings.

• Processing VAT returns.

• Drafting financial reports and analyses.

• Ensuring compliance with accounting guidelines and laws and regulations.

• Optimizing financial processes and systems.

• A completed BSc. in Finance, Business Economics or a similar direction. If you do not have this but have reached this level through your work experience (because you have already been a GL Accountant, for example), we also recommend that you make your interest known!

• At least 3 years of experience in a relevant position.

• Experience with SAP Business ByDesign and Excel is a plus.

• Strong analytical skills and an eye for detail.

• Good communication skills in English. Dutch would be a strong plus.

• Accurate and pro-active professional with a hands-on mentality (getting things done).
