Job description
In this role your main focus lies on commercial contract management within our organization. You support the business teams in the effective review, negotiation, and management of contracts to enable achievement of business plan goals, while minimizing the company’s contractual risk and liability. Besides this, you oversee the export control regulations with the objective to ensure compliance with international trade laws.
Specific tasks and responsibilities include:
Contract Management (60% - 70%)
Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, including sales agreements, service contracts, NDAs, and partnership agreements.
Ensure contracts comply with legal requirements, corporate policies, and industry best practices.
Identify and mitigate potential risks in contractual agreements, ensuring clear terms and conditions.
Work closely with internal stakeholders, including board, sales, procurement, and finance teams, to align contract terms with business objectives.
Monitor contract performance and obligations, ensuring compliance and effective contract execution.
Support dispute resolution processes and contract amendments when necessary.
Maintain accurate records of contracts, approvals, and correspondence to ensure transparency and compliance.
Export Compliance (30% - 40%)
Ensure company adherence to national and international export control laws and regulations, including (but not limited to) EAR, ITAR, EU Dual-Use Regulations, and local trade compliance laws.
Coordinate, implement, and maintain export control policies, having a steering role towards different departments.
Provide practical guidance to project teams and departments and answer questions regarding export control regulations and best practices.
Take the lead in implementing policy and provide awareness sessions and trainings to the organization.
Act as the primary point of contact for government authorities, customs officials, and regulatory agencies regarding export compliance matters.
Job requirements
Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, International Trade, or a related field.
Proven experience in contract management, trade regulations, and export compliance.
Strong knowledge of international export control laws and regulations (e.g., EAR, ITAR, EU Dual-Use).
Experience in contract negotiation, drafting, and risk assessment.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
